Scribing trim lines in F360

I am looking into F360 as a usable option for a CNC shop and so far so good except I cannot for the life of me do a scribe (3d project) for a trim line of a 3mm check fixture. When I choose the edges for the chain, it is choosing the whole edge of the body instead of portions of the edge on the actual trim section.

In other CAM softwares, we either move around the edges and choose the sections until the total trim is highlighted, or we bring in a curve and use that curve for the scriber to follow. This operation in both terms of prepping the cutter path and running normally takes minutes.

I am stumped and this could be a deal breaker since we scribe over 50% of the work coming in the door.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried to right-click when picking your segments? You should get a choice of full chain or segment.

Yes I did - it doesn’t show segments - only the full line around the body. I know the edges are broken into segments since when loading the data in another CAD software it appears as segments as expected.

After you select the chain of segments, right click it and there will be a little green backwards C that you can click on to make it an open chain you can now select and deselect individual segments that you were looking for but make sure and click the save button I will get on Fusion here after a bit and post some pictures @marine9007

It’s sorta working, but a big buggy on my screen - will need to play around with it. Will advise.

The pitchers are not in order and you press the lift mouse to get the brake chain command. the green + sine is the save. I hope this helps. @marine9007

The Alt key in windows forces single segment select you can use it in what @Rumpelstiltskin said to do as well.
