Hi everyone, I’m Nolan and a little background about myself. I’ve spent the last 30 yrs as a tool and cutter grinder, specializing in the manufacture of speciality tooling. ie:angle cutters, radius tools and form tools and regrinding your basic tooling. It appears to me that most large manufactures are going away from regrinds and using tools only once. I have since left that company because of its financial struggles and returned to machining where I started. With that information I have 2 questions. I personally met Titan last week as he came to our shop and did some filming and spoke at our Christmas party but like normal the questions I should have asked him came to me after he was gone, so I was told to bring them to you all. First, what are your thoughts on regrinds, are we going away from that. I don’t see them at the shop I am currently working at and second what are your experiences with the new endmills that have multiple flute configurations? ie: 4 flute endmills with each flute having a different lead or same leads but not being configured 90 degrees from each other. Are they living up to the hype they generate?
