I am currently the Manufacturing Manager for a small government contractor working in the ship maintenance, modernization, and repair arena. I have served in various roles from Project and Program Management to Engineering and Quality.
Additionally, I am an Adjunct Instructor for an online university where I teach Technical Writing, Technology and Society, and Integrated Technology Assessment–a capstone course.
I have a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, but I have always enjoyed working with my hands and technology. I am particularly interested in growth of small businesses through embracing advanced technologies and in workforce education.
I spent the first 21 years of my career in the US Navy in various roles as a Nuclear Machinist Mate; retiring in 2011 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
