Boring inconsistency

Hi all I’m a machine operator working in a small machine shop in the UK (part time student learning CAD/CAM/CNC) and I’m running this job that requires boring a round Ali bar (HE30) and it takes about 6 runs for the dimensions to transition out of tolerance (25.98 - 26mm). I’m using a carbide insert on a boring bar (these look old but unused) I got to make 350+ of these and it takes about 20 mins to complete one component. Really need advice to be able to fix this problem as it’s eating away from my limited time!
Would Really appreciate it if anyone can help me!

Ps I have only 6 months shop experience

I would ask your lead if they can call to local tool Rep to come look and offer advice. Me not knowing that kind of tooling grade of metarial it would be a blind guess.
If you have access to the Facebook group you could get more help there.

Maybe invest in a reamer? Need more info, what type of material is being cut, how long a bore, what size is the boring bar? Normally an inserted type boring bar the cutting edge is not sharp, therefore light cuts with insert may push back as a carbide insert is designed to shear and not cut, unless it is a ground to a sharp edges insert.
