Call outs question

Help

As I modeled this call out, it just seemed strange to me as it had very little threads and a whole lot of space for a SHCS.

6061 plate.
.625 thick.
My question… If I model this as it says on the far side, that is going to leave 0.125 for threads. Does it actually mean from the side I am looking at “front” go down 0.5 then start the counter bore to the back side which would result in threads being 0.5 and a counter bore of 0.125.

Put another way, when I was modeling this, I flipped it over to the far side, did a counter bore .5 deep leaving .125 for threads. I took a look at it and thought, that’s odd. Hope this makes sense.

Any advice?
Thank you for your time in advance. Respectfully Sean

IMHO you have a 1/2-13 thread for 1/8" on top side and a counterbore that is .5" deep measured from the back side of hole

I’m thinking it reads from left to right in order of operation. So I would be a Cboar .531dia .500 deep from the back side.
If the plate is .625 deep then yes only .125 thread.
I would contact designer and ask. Over the year shaved customers a bunch of money catching mistakes.

I agree and thank you for the help. It’s just counter intuitive based on the number of threads left.
