Since a recent Service Call due to a dead battery, my 2011 VF-2ss just is not the same. High Speed option is enabled and all other options are showing that they are on. Anybody with similar experience? The machine is paid for and I need a remedy
I would think having high speed enabled is a good thing. I think that usually coasts more to have them turn on. I’m sure people are going to hop all over this and give you plenty of replies just give it a moment.
Have you tried posting this concern on The Academy Facebook page there are more of us there for now.
Totally different control but whenever I had service done on my centroid they gave me a 21-day trial on all of the other options available for that control. Just a shot in the dark Maybe.
Oh yea give you a tase of the good life then take it away man… if you can tell I’m shaking my head in disappointment. I hope the guy just hooked you up with the cheat code is all.
Check the corner rounding and accuracy control settings. I don’t remember the number off-hand but look under G187 code. This code overrides the setting’s value with P & E assignments on the G187 line. The term “corner rounding” is misleading. It is the amount of error allowed when going around corners to allow an axis to “spool-up” for it’s upcoming direction change allowing the axis’ s to acc & dec in a quicker manner. If a corner is defined with a radius or chamfer smaller than the error allowed it will pretty much hold the small corner break because there is no room to “allow the corner rounding error”. It kinda makes a radius if no edge break is programmed. Cutter comp effects this too due to the diffetence in going around an undifined corner. The accuracy adjusts the acc & dec and accuracy parameters. In 3D tool paths the machine will slow down with P1 setting and speed up on P3 setting. So change for finish, semi-finish and roughing to get the best cycle times. Really effects 5 axis. It does some for 2D & 2 1/2D paths.
Sorry so long but it’s a great tool and may have been set differently when software re-loaded or if software was updated. You may have just got the “P” function of G187 because it was added to the G187 “E” function and added to the settings at a later date.
