I figure it’s about time i made an intro sorry it took me a week.
Hi, I’m Jeff, I’m from the Everett area of Washington state. I’m a long time machinist, I have a degree in machining even. but I could never get anyone to let me learn to program. Well I found titans you tube tutorials and have started programing on my own now. I’m also a commercial pilot and flight instructor (CFI-I)…although I end up not flying that much during the crappy winter months.
I’ve worked in super high production automotive shops, I’ve worked in NQA-1 nuclear shops but mostly aviation Boeing production type work. I make a lot of tooling, and train the new guys. I’m so thankful for this place that has got me started programing.
*Oyea I should mention i cant spell at all…but you will soon see this.

Welcome Jeff! My day job is also as a commercial pilot and I have been learning machining for the last couple of years. It’s becoming an addiction. I actually find a lot of similarities between machining and aviation, especially CNC. It’s like an autopilot in an airplane. You can program the code and push the go button, but if great care is not taken and you don’t closely monitor, there will be a crash.
