Hi all, just wanted to say thanks, I have learned a bunch from this Academy, and I have introduced it to a couple of new operators we recently hired.
I have been programming two axis lathes for about 5 years now and I’m quite comfortable with it. We recently got a pair of Doosan Puma 230 MS lathes in the shop and I have to learn to program live tooling and C axis. I’m sure it’s no big deal, just something new, but I am feeling a little overwhelmed and the shop owner wants to start cutting with them as soon as possible.
Could we get a basic crash course of how to do some basic drilling, tapping, and contouring on such a beast? We have CAD/CAM software but do not have the mill turn package yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
