Have you tried watching Titans vlog? He has a few topics about how to get work.

That’s rare to see a mill with not much work usually its always a lathe thing. I would make some cold calls to shops around the area offering your services. Check into other shop in different Industries that do or don’t have the Machining Capabilities for making parts in house. If any Engineering firms talk to them offering your services for future projects. Surprisingly Facebook, UpWork, Instagram, and sometimes Craigslist I actually pull work off of time to time. I could do more if I had my own Mill and Lathe.

Mike, when you say shops what type of shops are you referring to?

Thank you,

Joe.

Look into Automation, Medical, Welding, Automotive, Construction, Hot Rod, Off Road, and other shops. Give them a call or go out with some business cards, and stop by tell them what services you can offer them. Never know what you may find, or one of those shops might be like we have been thinking about doing some custom work but didn’t know if anyone could make the parts.

The aftermarket car world like offroad and such always have something special they want done but sometimes don’t know where to look.
