Today I started the Titan 1M model following along with the video. When I try to save the file I get the following error message.
Is it because I have the trial version it is not letting me save the file? I try to regen solid and I get this message. “No valid closed chains selected for non-thinwall extrude.”
Any help appreciated.
Kevin
@KevinJohnson I recommend you just try drawing it over something might have went ring. Your student version should not effect it being saveable. Did you save it as you made it? Like after yourself it to sheet1 and sheet2?
It is not technically a student copy, I have the Mastercam 2020 DemoHLE. I have tried drawing it twice with the same results. No I did not save as I made it. Just at the end after the video finished.
@Rumpelstiltskin Under model prep I selected Remove History and that allowed me to save it. Being new to Mastercam, can anyone tell me why that allowed the piece to be saved? Would it be that before history was removed it is still in its basic pieces, then after history is removed, all of the pieces are joined into one solid?

Golly I have very little experience with master cam do you have access to the face book group you will most likely get faster and better results @KevinJohnson
Sorry I thought you were using fusion 360.

Hello, Kevin! Thank you for posting your question. Mastercam HLE is indeed a full, working copy of the software. Its primary limitation is that it cannot post code. With regard to your project not saving, I second @Rumpelstiltskin’s suggestion of starting a conversation on the Academy Facebook Group. The Titan Forum is vital to Academy members and so are our social media channels. We want you to find the support you need, when you need it.
