What do you buy? TM-2P? SVM4100? Milltronics?
Only one of those requires no phase generator…

Right, the Hass can be wired in as either single or three phase. Meaning better efficiency and lower power bill IF your incoming is single phase. There is just too little information to even guess at a recommendation since we don’t know your plans. Are you married to this machine for life or do you plan to grow? Imperial or metric? Local support? Your education or CNC ability? Local codes in your garage or a commercial building, nice neighbors or do you care? Hobby or starting a business? I have a clear personal choice of the three machines but it may be contra-indicated by your plans.
Yeah, I live on a farm w/ 16 acres. So being a farm it enables me to do whatever I want… My plan is to develop products and sell them along with doing job shop work…
I am currently waiting for approval on a VM-3… Really scary putting a machine that costs more then my house in my pole barm along with a $10,000 digital phase perfect converter…
That said I get the whole DN solutions argument and rigidity and it does seem more rigid. However I don’t see it as a fair comparison because Koreans don’t get paid as well as Americans and most Americans don’t get paid as well as Califorians. So yeah the savings on labor can go into quality… Haas should move operations here to Mid Michigan.
My skill level is decent. I have run a little bit of everything in my 22yr career including multiple cam systems… boring mills, lathes, 3&4 axis.
I just see this peticular time as pivotal. The best way to save our country is to put the skills we know we have to use. Me in particular, I just can’t handle corporate managers anymore and watching em do it all wrong. Time to build somthing with the time I got left in my 42yr life and pave it forward by starting a training program. I am so glad I deciden NOT to get a Tormach or a Syil… They are both made in china…
Hass is sufficient I think…
After this highly exhausting search tho. There is a huge need for a NO BS way to get guys into a machine… I believe there should be a creative option for guys starting out… “”“A lease to own option that cones with work at set rates”“”"…
I guess if it were easy everyone would do it…
