A big thanks

I just want to say Thank you for all your help! Having absolutely zero metal working or CAD/CAM experience, I took an online Fusion course (Learn Fusion in 30 Days), and the Titans Of CNC Building Block course with hopes to lean to draw and mill stuff! Simultaneously, I worked on converting a PM833 to CNC with the Centroid Acorn/CNC12.

After finishing these courses, I sketched and CAMed this tiny model steam engine. As a challenge, every part short of the piston and small knurled knob was made on my mill. I finished it recently and cannot say thank you enough for all of your patience and help. The assistance I have received is nothing short of amazing. I look forward to being able to offer the same in the future.

Dang that’s cool! You fire it up?

Thanks Nick. Yes, it actually runs! I ran it on compressed air just for fun. Since I coated it with a clear coat (ProtectaCoat from Everbrite) to stop it from tarnishing, I probably will not run it again as the cylinder block rubs against the frame to allow the valves to operate. Have a great weekend… Richard
