Coolant Filtration

I am recycling my machine coolant. Right now I am running it through a 100 micron filter, U.V Filter, and an oil coalescer. The problem is that I need to get the fines out of the coolant. Ideally, I’d like to get it down to a 15 micron filtration. Does anybody have a small stand alone system that they like?

I have 0 knowledge on this topic, but after a few quick searches, MP coolant systems has a purge coolant filtration system that goes down to a 3 micron filtration, looks a bit high-end but it may be what you’re looking for.

Take a look at Rosedale filters.

They have bag filters down to 1/2 μm.

Cheaper way is to get whole home canister filter. That will filter that easily.
Nyccnc had a good right up about it
John Grimsmo did too. The down fall of going this cheaper route is the possibility of the coolant eating the plastic or making it weak. Grimsmo had a video about that as well
I have for 3 years now a big blue canister with a thread type filter from home depot on my robodrill with no issues yet. Blaser 735 coolant hasn’t eaten any plastic or made it brital

Those sock canisters are definitely very nice, but very expensive. Mounting can become an issue ish, but the flow rate with the debris capacity is a great benefit.
