hi guys, i am using fusion 360 cam since 1 year, the main problem it’s tool breaking during pocket cleaning…i’ve tried to find help online but nothing
Need lots more information about how your cutting. Speeds , feeds, depths , length of tool , type of tool, type of machine size of radius type of roughing strategy probably need more than just that but my lunch is over ha.
Give us more information, about your setup. And we can help finding the issues, that cause breakage.
Personally I have found that most common issue inside a pocket, is recutting chips. Chip evacuation in short.
Please share your Fusion file URL so we can take a look.
thx you so much guys for your fast answers and help i will try to share my work cam
I found that if I do a short pause, I can blow our the chips in the pocket and then continue. I do that by doing an op stop.
i have tried different setup inside the strategy, but without any nice solution, somone can help me with skype?

Hi,
I had a quick look, I’ve not used a shared view before, and its a bit confusing, but it looks like the issue is Op called PROVA?
It looks like it is plunging full width of cut into the stock at points - but that might just be the way the tool path looks on the shared view, as they don’t look very in line with the model…
If i was guessing it would be POCKET 4 toolpath that is the issue? have you tried an adaptive toolpath?
When looking at it In your top right hand side there should be a download button. Pick the Fusion file type you will receive it in an email you can then lode it into fusion.
What is the Material type?
steel c 40
Ottieni Outlook per iOS
Myself I would would run a second adaptive 3d clearing where you are using the pocket. I would just use the stock contours and the selection (machining boundary) to make it only do that section using the 5 mm end mill. I would get rid of the pocket. That way you don’t have to plunge into the material.
Used the upload @Billy-Boyce shared just today to get help on the face book! thanks
guys thank you very much for your help , if someone want to spend time with me in chat with skype i will be glad, my skype is alessandrobrogli
