Hello, Paul here. I am an applications engineer with Doosan Machine Tools. If I can be of any help, let me know.

Hello from Florida
Hello Paul!
Do you have any experience/knowledge in a 4th axis rotary selection/installations?
It depends on what machine but yes, I have experience with Doosan Machines and to a lesser extent, other machine tool builders. What would you like to know?
Paul
I know Doosan uses Fanuc Servos and Drives, that’s why I thought I would inquire.
I have a 2007 Amera Seiki A-3 with all Fanuc drives and servos.
Would like to add a 4th axis rotary table to it to do full 4th simultaneous machining. I’ve learned something about having to match the drive to the 4th axis servo motor and need more info on what exactly to do here. I want to find a used rotary table but not sure what brand to look for, which one will work with my 4th axis drive.
Well, if your machine does already have a 4th axis drive, most don’t if not bought that way, your job will be easier. Find a used 4th axis that has a drive for Fanuc with it. Sounds like you might have a 21i or 18i control. For me, I have found Koma rotaries to be very good and Samchully are very good too. If you buy a used one, someone will still have to install it. Don’t cheap out on this or it will cost you a lot more in the long run. Have it done right.
