Hello there,
I cut a lot of 718 and 625 Inconel with Doosan lathes + 1000 psi coolant for breaking chips during the drilling operation. Forget peck drilling on the lathe machine. If the drilling depth is more than 4 inches send it to the gun drilling shop.

I took his statement to mean “they both have low expansion coefficients” which is 100% true, not that they both machine the same.
Just clarifying.
