M4 tool steel grinding

I am struggling surface grinding m4 tool steel ( rc 62 )
we purchased a new chevalier 1225 adiv auto grinder … both radiac and norton have supplied us with new wheels … but they break down too quickly and burn
.01 or less material removal… surface finish 10 or better

@kevinzahnen I would recommend posting this question on the Facebook page of Titans of CNC because there’s a lot more folks active there.

It’s been a while since I surface ground any M4 (20+ years) but I recall using the widest wheel I could place on arbor, a Norton blue grade fine grit wheel, fast traverse feed rate, but only .0005" doc.

I was thinking ether the blue or pink wheel. I have not grown that particular alloy but I have ground quite a bit of S7 D2 H13 and A2.
