Modeling Chamfers on the TITAN-2M

Howdy, y’all! I frequently receive questions about modeling the chamfers on the TITAN-2M and wanted to provide a definitive guide to completing the feature in Fusion 360.

Due to limitations within Fusion 360 when the tutorial was recorded, we opted to model the part without chamfers in the tutorial. Although the Chamfer tool is useful, it is good to keep in mind that depending on the geometry, type of face, and the scenario you may have to use other methods, like creating a sketch and using the extrude cut feature.

To model chamfers onto your part, you would sketch circles over the 1/4-20 holes with a .275 diameter and extrude down with a distance of -.09" and a -45º angle. This will result in the desired geometry and a fully modeled chamfer. (See the attached screenshots for reference.)

I would also like to note that if you’re submitting your TITAN-2M CAD models for certification on CNC EXPERT, you can opt to skip the chamfers and complete the chamfers instead during the programming of the part.

Hope this information helps everyone DESIGN TO GREATNESS!
