Post processor for DMU 60

Hi guys,

We’ve got a Deckel Maho DMU 60 5-axis CNC machine in our workshop, and I’m trying to setup it up to work with Fusion 360/PowerMill. I’m very new to CNC machining, so hoping someone can help me track down an appropriate post processor, or can steer me in the right direction. I’m aware of the posts that Autodesk provide on their website, but not sure how to verify whether they are correct for my machine.

Thanks!
A

Edit: Forgot to say, the machine is running with a Heidenhain iTNC 530 controller

@DanielLyall
Can you give some input on this?

The first one in the online post library says it is for the iTNC 530 if you just put h in the search, as long as you have the manual for the control any edits needed to be done to the post should not be all that hard.

More than likely it won’t need any edits the post team went to Heidenhain to work on the post a few months ago.

Just try it if any problems come up yell out depending on what is needed to be changed I may be able to do it for you.

For the Powermill post pass, I have not got to that stage yet I will be doing it soon for my self the Powermill forum is your best bet https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/powermill-forum/bd-p/280

Thank you Daniel for your support!!@

I ended up mustering the courage to test the stock Heidenhain post from the Autodesk website and, outside of some minor changes to the code, it seems to work really well with the DMU 60.

Thanks for the assistance!
