I brought subscription to solid-works for makers.
I have used solid-works some years ago. Got that up and running.
But I cant get started with the CAM side of things
I watched first tutorial on delmia shop floor.
Clicked on the + at top right of the window, then on import, to import a part I want to machine
I then get a box pop up that says "you are not allowed to do this operation, contact your administrator:
As a solo, not linked to any other people, I sort of assumed I would be the administrator…
The 2007 solid works I learnt on, everything just flowed and was very easy to learn, it was a great experience.
However the website architecture and wording for the solid works for makers I have found to be very hard to understand and its architecture etc has given me a lot of grief as I struggle to work out how it works.
As opposed to my recent ( and first ) trial of fusion36. I had never used an auto-cad product before, but getting it installed and teaching myself how to get up and running was smooth and easy.
My only issue with it was the level of dependence on the net, as my net connection at home is not good…3
So I am trying to evaluate the solid-works option
Thanks for any help on the "contact your administrator"issue
