I was pretty sure when I viewed the tutorial, the bottom of the pocket was a curved face and not a flat face, it may have been the part 2 video of the same tutorial that actually showed more of a simultaneous movements.
The bottom Bottom of the pocket was curved. and the is the only way to get the angle on the wall by rotating it. I cut ring patterens in wax on my bench top mill and I have not found a way in fusion to cut 360 degrees and do 3d cutting also. Yeah I can 2d cut all day on the 4th axis. and from all the research I have done I would have to goto Inventor to do what I want.
If you know of a way to do this I would really. I attached Ia Picture of what I would like to cut. other Wise I have to find someone with a seat of Mastercam I can use.

What machine are your running this on? Lathe with Y axis or 3 axis mill with horizontal A axis?
Taig mill with a axiz running mach3
Our CNC Class just visited a local shop - they have 23 CNC machines and do high level medical and aerospace etc. as a jobs shop. New owners. They use Smartcam and mentioned they are starting to use Fusion 360.
We use Fusion 360 almost exclusively. For both lathe and mills. Sometimes I do use CamBam for really quick mill jobs drawn in AutoCAD.
I have zero spare time this coming week, but will see what I can muster on the ring part you imaged. I will need some quality quiet time to work on this
Well thanks I have thought of trying 3d cutting and just index it 15 degree ingriments I but I think on my machine Tere could be a line up issue.
It is only steppers and thead rod
I do, and we like it a lot, for my business was a very good move. before we was in mastercam but we find with fusion much more flexibility and fast coding. Thanks Titan I learn also 5 axys and I have to say thanks to all he teach. The first 6 month we went student edition and now we buy license for me and my 2 coders… we run lathe, router , 3 axy 4 and 5 axy parts… take me little bit to learn all functions and how to edit the post processor for all machine I have, but now we are in!
We have sent out a couple of students with one year cert and Titans of CNC Building Block experience. The company they are at are Fusion 360 and now do all the programming
Can’t is actually two words concatenated. So it is a.not a four letter word to me. But I get your drift. Lol
