What are the advantages and disadvantage of using Fusion 360 and Mastercam for programming Titan’s model parts?
Is it possible to get some discount for Mastercam programs for use in Titans Small Group for producing real parts on the CNC machine instead of just simulated image of the parts on the computer screen?.

Owning or using - as a CNC machinist I am trying to learn Skills in which I can get a job. In the 80s I learned hand G code - then CadCam came in. So I learned Smartcam. I went to another shop and they had Smartcam so eventually I became a fulltime programmer. Later on I was at a shop that had Surfcam but I was able to figure it out because I CADCAM experience. Some things were better some not but It was my tool - just like the CNC machine - I dont get a choice on tools. Later on I learned Mastercam as we changed from Surfcam to Mastercam. I knew that Mastercam was the most popular CADCAM out there so that is great. Now I teach CNC machining and we learned Fusion 360 in School.
It works great - as good as MasterCam in many areas and better in design. So If I need a job and they use Fusion 360 or thinking about , I would be an asset.
which one is better? everyone will have an opinion - they all can do the job plus HOW you use it and your machinist knowledge will be the difference. Like CNC machines. everyone has a favorite.
