Good morning all. I am getting ready to move from a rented 2000 sq. ft. area to my own 5400 sq. ft. building. I am looking for suggestions on workbenches for the CNC mills and CNC lathe. What is everyone using. Looking for clean and organized like Titan’s set-up.
Have you set a budget? Do you need mobility? How many total would you be looking for? Hand tool and measuring tool storage or CNC toolholder storage to be included? I know, lots of questions, but there are a ton of choices.
Stephen, I do not have a budget. I am looking for 4-6 to start with. Hand tool and measuring equipment storage with room for a surface plate. Does not need to have holder storage.
I have found using a work bench and tool box combination worked well for machine setups. Getting a good wood/rubber wood top on a sturdy welded legs (no wheels) provided me the most sturdy placement. Rolling a mobile tool box cabinet under it allowed me to store specific hand tools, and machine accessories, but also provide me the mobility if needed. The WorkPro work bench was affordable and sturdy. The Lista’s are outstanding, but are pricey. I would check Harbor Freight for some of their mobile tool boxes, they have some that have great specifications for weight bearing, etc.
Thanks Stephen. I will look into them.
