I know its not machining but lets see those renderings of anything you want.

I was about to ask if we could download this image but saw it was turned on already. I’ll be adding my small group banner to it and then I’ll use it on the computers we use here.
Thanks!

Its not really an academy model, but this something i’ve been playing around with, it draws inspiration from the rocket lathe series.

Yes it doesn’t have to be an Academy Part and that’s pretty neat looking.
Thanks, its a work in progress
Its one of the environments in Fusion I have never got my head round. I make anodised aluminium parts and I always find they look really flat when I take a screen shot or record something in animation.
I will get round to it at some point, but I prefer to make it and then take a photo
I have to agree, a real photo is still the best render.
Sometimes it’s not as simple as just taking a picture of it. it’s Some times you have to depict the idea or concept far in advance to sell the customer on it before you ever get the go ahead to build. Plus I find it just fun.

You just gotta show the customer why they want it before they even know they need it
Plus you can build whatever you want without the material cost…
Fusion360 can be used for all kinds of projects too…
Well thats pretty cool a lot of work went into setting that up
. The concrete texture looks to be too small tho. That can be adjusted in the material settings unless that’s what you were going for.
I’ll have to take a look at that feature, Thanks
I just assumed you were using fusion for your rendering.
That is a cool feature! Also your render, is it a train plow? We could definitely use that in Canada right now. Nice work!
Yes it’s known as a Jordan spreader. I worked for a place where we would tear them down to the frame throw everything away but the frame and rebuild them with a lot more up-to-date amenities.
Here is one on its way out the door.
Another random render from the archive.

I like it I just finished the TITAN-4M. On my way to Greatness in 2018!
BB - do you have any tips for endering aluminum parts both machined finish and anodized?
I just started playing with rendering, seems finding the right combinations are a key to its foundation - Given it takes some time to render trial and error can take some time.
Your renders always look great, and look lifelike - mine have just looked like a cartoon with too many reflections and not enough part detail.
I looked at the fixtureing ones that were just put up and was blown away - being able to render like that would help us display products much better to our customers - any basic tips would be greatly appreciated.
