Inventor Hsm Tolerances

Hello I’m Gianni from Germany.
I follow Titan since month and I’m impressed about his work.
I got a little question about Inventor Hsm and maybe someone can help me or give me an hint about.
How you manage measure tolerances in ihsm
I see some solutions like adding a sketch or adding more end mills for managing different contour tolerances.
Is there maybe a different option?
Cam should not only be able to shape out material but also stay in different tolerances.
In solidcam for example you can give a pocket an offset.
Hope you get me… My English is a lidle bit rusty😊

Are you trying to over size/ under size the features? There is an input to “offset” the final geometry a certian amount based on the value. Mostly to used to leave raw stock for finish passes. I believe it to be labled “stock to leave”

I’ve have not tried, but, maybe you could input a negative value and net an over-sized pocket, undersized boss. Not sure if this is what you are asking about tho.

thank for your answer. Now I will try this maybe it’s the solution.
The reason why I ask this is because a Step file is designed to “0” without tolerances. And I wonder about that there is no feature to manipulate this in Hsm. Immagine you have a pocket that should be over or undersized with a certain tolerance and maybe an outside measure as well tolerated.
Now if you were able to manipulate this in a way, you could work out both with the same tool.
In hsm I think that you have to do this with two different tools and a tool compensation.
Or with sucking sketches

Ok, I think I’m following now… Your model is not nominal to the tolerances on the drawing. That’s usual around here… I’m not sure how to set multiple DIA. offset callups in HSM with out manually editing the G code after.
For example T1 H1 D1 and T1 H1 D11 would both use Tool 1 but could cut at different xy with their respective “wear amounts” in offset 1 and 11

In other words you could give the cutter neg. wear and achieve an oversized pocket with D1 and the use D11 with positive value to oversize the perimeter of the part. Same tool.
