Stock modelling incorrect

Hi I need help trying to work out how to get the correct stock shape, to machine, i turn on a Goodway GLS200 cnc lathe, my parts, then i transfer them to a 5th axis Victor Ax380 machining centre, the problem is i am trying to use the modelling software in Autodesk inventor cam to only machine the specific arias. but the the shape is not from solid, how do i get the right shape solid over my turned part to machine.

Need much more information 1) is your stock from bar (round or rectangular) or a casting? 2) Are you wanting to transfer the unturned stock to your 5th axis machine? Pictures or drawings of your problem would help.

Hi Alan , now fusion 360 has got the skill to load the setup stock “from previous operation”,
Let check if Inventor (same software house) has too.

Hi TITANS

I have attached my design drill bit, i am looking to machine in a Victor ax380 machining centre, mounted 10" hydraulic chuck.

The items is Turner and heat-treatment to 45HRC using D6a steel.

I am trying to crate stock around the item and machine the side flutes using a harvi 2 5xD end mill 6mm or 8mm.

Time is the target hear, i am looking to machine the side relifes using the full depth of cut and trichodal milling. Then move to the next relief.

I also need to mill the top three water channels and drill all the holes. Using 5th axis.

How do i do this in fusion 360 or investor cam.

Kind Regards
