I was curious what the black material on the tooling tables and benches in the Titans videos. Any ideas?

I cannot say for sure what Titan uses in his shop, but I lined the top of my tool boxes (Kennedy) and my metal tables with MDF (multi Density Fiberboard) and glued on a 1/16" laminate. I used a wood grain, it looks like Titan might have done the same and used a black laminate. My metal tables (most economical and common) were noisy when you worked on them, so I asked our carpentry class to make a cover that also covered the sides. We squirted about 8 dabs of silicon adhesive on top of the table and then set the MDF cover over the table top… In the image you can see the toolboxes, some without and some with the insert tops.
Those came out well. Ill have to take a look at some laminates in person.
