Titan-87L Missing chamfers

In the 87L programming video, Tyson misses the chamfers for the grooves. Here is my solution:

  1. Duplicate the Finish Profie.
2 Edit the Finish Profile and change the geometry so your Front Mode is Selection. Choose the Top of the First Chamfer and use 0 offset.
  2. Choose Back Mode and Selection. Select the Top of the Last Chamfer and use 0 offset.
  3. Everything else remains the same if I remember correctly.
    Chamfer%20Geometry
  4. Your Tool Path should look like this:
    Chamfer%20toolpath2

The only other thing I don’t see Tyson do is create chamfers for the threads.

I just got to doing CAM on 87L myself, and my solution was to allow axial and radial grooving on the finishing profile

what do you suggest for creating a lead in chamfer for the thread ?

I don’t have a solution because the tools we are using don’t have that option.

well, we could always use boring bar tool #8 for the chamfer, but it doesn’t matter
