Trouble Stitching Two Bodies Together To Form One Solid In Fusion 360 CAD

Hoping to get some ideas to fix this issue. As the title states, I am trying to combine two surface bodies. The boundaries match but when I highlight them in a window and go to and hit patch the entire boundary turns red instead of green. One body turns on when clicked but the other doesn’t. The bodies were derived in “create form” , one a plane creating the flat base and the other body from loft and then modified later through the “create form” feature. I’ve followed youtube tutorials and those have worked in the past on a similar project but not on this which leads me to believe I left something out, turned something on/off( this was copied from another file). Any ideas to get me looking for a fix would be much appreciated.

I am thinking that if the two bodies have a matching boundary, then there is nothing there for a patch to patch. You may want to try combine and create a new component. Make sure both of the surface bodies are components

Hey Stephen, sorry replying late.

Thanks for the tip. I should have said “stitch” instead of “patch” but I’ve found some other issues that may have caused the problem working through it.
