I’m following the aerospace tutorials and just started on 513M. I haven’t quite found out what tooling they use in the video to hold the parts. I assume mitee bite id expanding pins but I don’t know that for sure.

Thank you. seems a little late in the series to show what tooling is used for fixture in my opinion, would be nice to mention maybe in the steps for the fixture plate. But I’m just the student, maybe there is a solid reason to show it on the step where we program the part itself instead.
either way i just got to step 12 so ill be seeing it soon enough.
I would recommend you watch the entire series before you invest anything. this is a great project, but many may be limited due to the size of part and the footprint of machine to run it as shown. You might scale it down, then you would also need to scale down your tooling, fixtures and possibly clamping methods. It always pay to watch the whole thing thru instead of jumping right in and not even understand the process plan…IMHO
