Hi, I need to make bevel on steel, and need to do quite a bit of it. For welding, 0.25 by 0.25 inch bevel.
what tool would be good for this. ?
Invest in a sine plate. It will hold your vise at the angle you want and you can just use a endmill assuming you have access to a mill of some kind. Another option is a big beefy chamfer tool. Maybe one with replaceable inserts.

I would just weld yourself up a plate supported by 45 degree angle pieces with a base you can mount to your mill. drill some holes in the plate so you can mount a vise to it.
