Tool Libraries from Kennametal NOVO

So I know I can get the Titans of CNC Academy Turning Tool Library here in the lessons, but I need to use some different tools for another project. The tools are from Kennametal, and when I went to export a tool library from NOVO, Autodesk/Fusion isn’t in the list, which surprised me, being that they have partnered with this program. Does anyone have any idea if exporting using any of the exports for one of the other CAM vendors in the list will give me anything useful?

I have taken tool libraries that were formatted for other CAM packages and renamed the file extension for Fusion 360. You might try that.

Yeah, I know how to import tool libraries, if they are formatted for Fusion, thanks! Just trying to figure out which ones that aren’t for Fusion that might work…

Download one of the libraries that end in .json, .hsmlib, or .tsv. in explorer rename the file to the Fusion 360 tool library extension, .tools

The .json will also work as is in fusion no change required just FYI .

So I have tried around half of them, they all seem to be exporting as a zip file, with .step files ans a .xml file. I have not found one that has the right format. Does anyone know of one of the profiles that actually is usable with Fusion?

Not sure what tool libraries you are attempting to download or export from Nova, you might try the tool mfg website and get a tool library. Here is one I found with a quick google search. https://support.bantamtools.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001671594-Fusion-360-Tool-Library
