Hello all. First post here & I’m brand new to CNC, CAD & CAM. I recently purchased a Haas TL-1 to start machining some basic parts for a new business I’m starting. Been doing the Building Block tutorials to help learn Fusion 360 while I wait for the lathe to arrive (expected delivery of approx. July 5th).
I have some newbie questions on the CAM portion. Once I’ve drawn up my model, I want to take it into Manufacture in Fusion. Here is where I get lost. I got a tool certificate from Haas for Kennametal tooling for the lathe. The rep already came out here & hooked me up with Novo, so I can pick out the tooling I need, but I have no idea on how, or if it’s possible to add the tooling to Fusion. I know in the Building Block tutorials, we downloaded a tool library & used that when creating the tool paths. Without my actual tools in the library, how am I supposed to create accurate tool paths that I can put into the lathe?
Pardon my ignorance in all this, I’ve been trying to learn as much as I can, as fast as I can & reaching out to the community is one way I hope to learn.
Thanks in advance for your patience & help.
