Is there a hard and fast rule that says we must use Fusion360 to complete the projects? I have access to Inventor HSM as well as Fusion and I feel like Inventor experience will give me a greater chance for employment after completing the program?
I love Inventor HSM and its based the same as Fusion just better IMO
It is not a rule to use Fusion 360. it is just that the Academy uses it like If you would go to a collage it might use one specific brand of software.
I think the philosophy of titan is not to perfectly know 1 software.
any and every sofware are only Tools like end mills Tools or tapes.
here you can ask for user Community.
learn Fundamentals of CNC and link how sofware Tools can do the same.
good luck
Perhaps “rule” was not the correct word. I should have said, “Does Titan Academy ‘SUPPORT’ the use of Inventor when completing the projects?”
Thank you all for your responses. I think I see now that it is not a problem. In fact, given the amount of time I have on my hands, there’s nothing stopping me from doing the projects using both software tools, no?
I have seen folks post on the Face Book group using other CAM. I can only assume that the Academy only uses one to keep it simple. Also Titan most likely helped Auto-desk decide to provide it free. As to what you use is totally up to you. The Academy only makes videos using Fusion 360.
I have ran into issues getting it to do what want so I post a question in the FB or, and hear FB usually sets a response within a compel hrs. It can take a wile to get a response here but I still post them here because it makes a searchable topic for others to lookup and find help.

I’m not a big fan of FB. In fact I’ve never had an account, but this forum will suit my needs and, as you say, it is more searchable.
What you say about F360 is true. I’ve had my “startup” account pretty much from the beginning, but every time I’ve attempted to get going down the learning curve, I drive off the road!
Thx John
Fusion 360 is available to all Academy Members and Startups at no cost. Autodesk has made incredibly accessible and functional software and its the foundation of the Academy.
The skills learned in our tutorials do transcend the featured environment of Fusion 360. Our members often support each other in that regard, here on the Forum and on our FB Group.
Thank you for joining the TITANS of CNC: Academy, @JohnLodge!
To add to my previous reply: we do not have direct support or resources for Inventor or other software environments. We rely on the Community to help resolve design or programming issues.
Russell,
Understood. And. as I said in my previous post, I have enough time on my hands that I should be able to learn both products at the same time.
John
CDCR San Quentin Program is using Inventor. The students and instructor created maps/cheat sheet to allow for the new students to understand the difference between the Titan video using Fusion 360 and Inventor,. They have had success.
Michael,
I wonder how one might get hold of one of those cheat sheets?
