There are time when milling thick material it seems would be better to use a vortex contour to mill around the part instead of using the adaptive clearing which removes all the excess material from around the feature.
so As opposed to removing all the material just cut the contour without plunging the end mill directly into the material.

In Fusion you can create boundaries that will only 2D or 3D adaptive cut the area you wish to cut, you can also pinpoint where the tool comes down to begin cutting.

So create a sketch and use that as the boundaries for the adaptive clearing? make a lot of since my mind was wrapped around contour since that is basically what was stuck in my head lol.
