How’s it going everyone? I have a question and not sure if I should post it here. I’m running some tubing at work and when the part off tool comes up it’s leaving a big burr/ extra stock. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? We tried to peck it or just straight cut off. Didnt really change. Thank you in advance
Not sure if this suggestion will fix your problem. I am not exactly sure, but it appears what you call a burr is material that is as wide as your cutoff tool is left attached to your part that was parted off. If so, your cutoff tool is ground where the face is completely parallel to the centerline of Z axis. I suggest you grind the face with about a 4 degree angle such that it is angled where the tip on the facing end of cutoff tool is first engaging your stock.
